News and Announcements

Your School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) has been looking at Navarro district health/wellness issues.

The council is looking at issues such as teen pregnancy, obesity, nutrition, diabetes, teen driving, vaping, suicide, language usage, etc. and comparing them to national statistics. We've been talking with administrators, parents, and staff to try to identify any concern areas our students, staff, and faculty may have that keeps them from being as healthy as they can. We hope to have a survey, either at the end of this year or the beginning of next to get your input as to health/wellness concerns you may have. Please don't hesitate to contact the SHAC if you'd like to be a part of this fact gathering process or if you have concerns.

Panthers Feeding Panthers

Some of these children eat breakfast and lunch at school and those might be the only meals that they get. If they are late to school and don’t tell their teacher that they haven’t had breakfast then they have not had anything to eat since lunch the day before….and we want them to learn to read and comprehend and multiply and divide?
So, the big question is, how are we going to fix this? We already have a plan, we just need your help!
