COVID-19 Screening Checklist
Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Community Members:
Navarro ISD is dedicated to fighting COVID-19 and working daily to ensure proper sanitation and health measures are followed in order to keep our community safe. However, we need YOUR help in combating the virus.
As parents, students, staff and community members, Navarro ISD needs your support in reporting active cases, potential cases and possible exposure. Guadalupe County does not have reporting authority that provides information to the district concerning COVID-19 cases. Any information received by the district concerning COVID cases must be provided by the parents, students, staff or community members in the Navarro ISD area. Therefore, the district needs your support to ensure that everyone stays informed and safe during this time. As we work together to maintain the health and wellness of our school community, Navarro ISD asks for your cooperation and support in completing the daily screening checklist and maintaining communication with the campuses in the event of an illness. Together, we can make a difference and be successful in the fight against COVID-19.
In accordance with TEA guidelines, employees, students and campus visitors must self-screen DAILY by using the COVID-19 Screening Checklist prior to arriving on campus. Parents must ensure that students experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or with a lab confirmed positive test for COVID-19 remain at home during the recovery or quarantine period, opting for remote instruction until conditions for re-entry to school can be met.
If you are exhibiting new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19, as listed below, please DO NOT report to campus:
- Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
- Loss of taste or smell
- Difficulty breathing
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Shaking or exaggerated shivering
- Significant muscle pain or ache
- Nausea or vomiting
We appreciate your efforts to take preventative measures at home to ensure that all students, staff and families remain safe. Working together to maintain communication in this crisis will help everyone remain healthy and safe. Thank you for your continued efforts to support Navarro ISD.
