For the past 6 years, the Navarro Independent School District’s Board of Trustees have approved a 3% raise for NISD employees. This year is no exception!
The Board of Trustees adopted the 2021-2022 salary schedules which represent a $1,600 increase for all continuing teachers and a 3% of the midpoint of each salary group, up to the schedule maximum, for continuing teachers, administrators, counselors, librarians, clerical, paraprofessional, technical and auxiliary staff with the exception of staff members that are already at the maximum or over who will be frozen at their 2020-2021 salary.
The salary increase was approved at the Board of Trustees meeting on June 21 and will be funded starting the 2021-2022 contract year. The starting teacher salary of NISD will be $48,500.
“We are grateful for the Board of Trustees' support of a generous raise for all our employees," said Superintendent Wendi Russell. “The district is trying to raise salaries to be competitive with area schools and 3% will do just that.”
